Jackson Heidesch, a senior at Dowling Catholic High in Iowa, finished fifth in the boys championship race at Nike Cross Nationals at Glendoveer Golf Course in Oregon. Heidesch covered the 5-kilometer layout in 14:55.5 to become the first Iowa male athlete in meet history to earn All-America honors, leading three Heartland competitors in the top seven and five athletes among the first 23 finishers.
